A Wonderful Christmas Time!

We started off the Christmas fun with a family night the Monday before Christmas with my family.  We had a talent show, and George strait came to sing to us…

As you can see, the kids thought their grandpa was pretty funny!
My parents gave us all a book about Christ’s birth to get us in the real holiday spirit.
Then we had a fun surprise… Santa came and picked us up on a bus.  We went around singing Christmas carols and delivering a few things to people!
We all had a blast!
The next Wednesday, we all went to a live Nativity.  Taelyn has really gotten the whole meaning of Christmas this year, so it was fun to show her what it really looked like the night Christ was born!

We celebrate Christmas with my family on the morning of Christmas Eve… We got spoiled rotten like always!
How lucky am I… I show a picture to my sister Amber and say, “I think Chad should make us these!” Within 3 minutes, an email was sent and Chad had wrote back to consider it done.  Within a couple days, my kids had a brand new dress up storage!
… and they obviously love it!

We of course had to have a dance off! (these boys belong on drill team!)
My sweet parents surprised us with a piano!  To say I Love It is not even close to how I feel about it… I haven’t been able to really play for almost 10 years, so my lucky family gets to hear my rusty piano playing all day long now!

And I told these two that I’d teach them lessons.  I can’t believe how fast Tae is catching on!  She loves that she can play a few songs.  Matt is doing pretty dang good too… He passed off Old McDonald and then came back with Ben Folds piano music and said, “k, now I want to play this.” We’ve still got some work to do with him!!
Christmas day we spent at our house with our little family!  It was perfect.  We woke up and opened the stockings.
We then got ready and went to church and then came home and opened all the rest of the presents.  It was a perfect day!
Pretty sure my kids have the best grandpa’s in the world… just check out the next two pictures!  Neither one of them put up a fight.

We did Christmas with the Flakes on the day after Christmas.  We ate lots of food, played games, and opened presents.  They sure spoiled us!
And this is how we all felt by the end of Christmas celebrating... however, I'm not so sure I'm ready for it to be over!
