Hawaii '08

Matt and I got to go on a week vacation to Hawaii. We lucked out big time and got "buddy passes" so the flight was only $125 per person for round trip. We also have some friends who live there, so we had a free place to stay! We couldn't pass it up! I had a really hard time leaving Taelyn and thought about her constantly! Every little kid I saw made me miss her so much and I just kept thinking how much she would love it! In the end... I am so glad I got the time away with just my hubby! It's so good for every couple to have that time together! Thanks so much everyone who helped make it so we could go! Wishing she could come along! I know it looks like we're at prom... but I loved the background. It shows how beautiful it was! Matt Cliff Jumping! They had this huge rock that you could dive off of into the ocean. Matt & Mike Studdert The girls relaxing on the beach! Studderts have a friend who took Matt Scuba Diving for his first time. I couldn't go because of being pregnant, but Matt had a ton of fun! All geared up! Hawaii has these trees with vines everywhere... This is a bad picture of one, but I think they are the coolest trees I've ever seen! Notice the "No swimming" sign... and our husbands are just swimmin away! Matt getting in trouble by the lifeguard. They said "No swimming" but it was more just a precaution. Matt got in trouble because he was trying to get me to come in and the guard was telling him that was a really stupid idea cause the current was so strong! The boys thinking their sexy! (I didn't even post the one that could've been sent to "Play-Girl") Matt thought it would be fun one morning to go on a little drive. We saw a pretty beach and for some reason Matt thought our rental car would be able to handle the sand... obviously it didn't. Matt tried digging it out, putting rocks under the tires, etc. until we finally walked a ways and had some guy come tow us out! It's all about the memories right! And at least we were stuck in a pretty place! We got to go the the Polynesian Cultrual Center night show one night for free. It was fun to see all the different traditions of other cultures! Thanks to a million different people we had such a fun trip! Thanks Mike and Jess for letting us stay with you and showing us around! Thanks family & Chantel for keeping Taelyn for us! It was such a fun get-away and we wouldn't have been able to do it without everyones help. Thanks so much! (Just for the record... every couple, especially if you have kids or work a ton, need to have a get-away like this with just the 2 of you! It is so fun and it feels like you are on your honey-moon again! You get to fall in love all over!)
